The original creator of the Keyy Foundation's vision is my mother. Her strength, love, and first-hand experience with what Keyy went through is what ultimately created The Keyy Foundation. Given the fact she is on disability, and is no longer able to work, she is not going to be directly involved in the organization, although it would not be where it is today without her. She was the one who built this house for us, she was the one who gave this organization to me as a gift and has trusted me to do right with this foundation. It is such an honor for me to lead this foundation in the name of my sister, and I will always stay true to this mission and vision. journey of compassion and resilience that led to the establishment of The Keyy Foundation.

Projects

Local Support

Our Local Support Project is for those in the Indianapolis, Indiana area who are affected by diabetes, particularly for low-income and uninsured individuals. We provide them with supplies and support to manage their disease with dignity. When possible, we also offer support by mail to those outside our area because no one should have to deal with diabetes alone.

Community Outreach

Community Outreach is about bringing the support to the community. Through local events, educational workshops and supply drives, we aim to make sure that everyone in need has access to diabetes supplies and a caring community.

Empowerment Initiatives

Our Empowerment Initiatives project focuses on empowering diabetics by providing education, training, and resources to enhance their quality of life. We believe that empowerment is key to managing diabetes effectively and improving overall well-being.

The Keyy Foundation is a team of passionate individuals all united by one mission: helping and inspiring those living with diabetes. Each of them has been brought together by a unique strength, and a shared connection to honor Keyy's memory through love, advocacy, and service.

President

Trevon Sutton

Trevon Sutton, President of The Keyy Foundation, Inc. is a Computer Engineer by trade. Trevon has a very personal connection and leads the Foundation with a passion, driven from the heart. Trevon is not formally trained in diabetes research, but his compassion and personal drive comes from having a sister who has first-hand experienced the fight against diabetes. He has an ambitious desire to make sure no one else has to feel like they are fighting this alone.

Outreach Coordinator

Lisa Sweatt

Lisa Sweatt, our Outreach Coordinator, is a compassionate advocate who carefully fills orders for diabetic supplies and arranges for them to be distributed where they are needed most. In providing comfort and much-needed support, Lisa's work is literally a life-saver for those with diabetes. Lisa also works with the community to establish connections to see where the need is greatest.

Community Liaison and Creative Designer

Shavonna Patterson

Our Community Liaison and Creative Designer, Shavonna Patterson works to close the gap between the foundation and the diabetic community by creating and sharing helpful educational material, resources for support and anything to help the person with diabetes feel less alone and more seen. Shavonna also organizes all event notifications across social media and other outlets to keep our community connected and informed.
